CSS Colonel Lovell

Colonel Lovell was a sidewheel tug built in 1842, and converted by the Confederate government in 1862 into a lightly-armed ram.  She was stationed at Memphis and took part in the successful Confederate action at Fort Pillow.

Like the other Confederate rams involved in the battle at Memphis, her luck ran out on June 6, 1862, when she was sunk as a result of the battle.
