Maine
Preservation
In 1997 Maine Preservation created the Jane
Carpenter Poliquin Grant Program, which provides
educational grants of $500 each to schools.
Awards are given to schools which support the
development of innovative school projects that help
students to form an intimate relationship between
themselves and the architectural environment, and
thereby lead them to discover a sense of ownership
and pride in their community, for the future
preservation of Maine historic communities.
