Hours and Location

Hours
Generally 8 am - 4 pm.  Please call ahead to make an appointment to view items in our research collection or speak with a member of our staff.

Location
The Center for Historic Preservation offices are located in three buildings. The  Black House is located on the north side of East Main Street between Middle Tennessee Boulevard and Baird Lane.  There is a gravel parking lot in front of and behind the building.
The Harrison House is located across the street on the south side of East Main Street.  We share a driveway with the campus police.  Guests may park behind our building and enter through the back door.  Our main entrance is under a blue awning and is wheelchair accessible.  Though both lots require parking permits, guests of the Center are welcome to park in these lots.  If you should get a ticket when visiting any of the CHP staff, please let us know.

The Heritage Center is located at 225 West College Street in the former Bangkok Cafe building, one block from the public square.  Visitors to the Heritage Center may park in any of the spots in front of the building.
